The history of the tragedy of the Titanic inspired the recent blockbuster movie. The Titanic was a British luxury ship that sank on April 14, 1912 about 400 miles south of Newfoundland. Her only defense against icebergs and hidden obstacles was to rely on manned lookouts. On that fateful night the eyesight of trained lookouts only provided 37 seconds of warning before the collision.

Shortly before midnight on April 14, the liner collided with the iceberg. The Titanic had only about 1,178 lifeboat spaces for the approximately 2,224 persons aboard, and many of the lifeboats were lowered into the water only partly filled with passengers. Inquiries on who was at fault for the tragedy were held in both the United States and Great Britain. These CDROM gives you complete access to original copies of important books published at the time that contain key details as to what really happened that fateful night. Order the Titanic CDROM and see what really happened!
